Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15 1960) was an American actor. Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actor. Bassett was brought up by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. When Bassett was five years old, she and her sister were moved into St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother who was separated from their father. Bassett was in high school when saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal of becoming an actor had been realized. Yale University New Haven Connecticut in which she graduated with her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). In 1997, she got married to Courtney B. Vance who was an actor in the same group. Qualification: B.A. graduated from the Yale School of Drama School with a master's degree on African American studies, in 1980.
